On the other side of nowhere,
Lies an infinite expanse,
Of anything and everything
That doesn't make much sense.
I'm in here, and you're out there;
The picture keeps rewinding.
People laughing, crying, feeling...
I do not understand.
It's almost there within my reach;
But on the other hand,
I'm sliding, slithering, slowly slipping...
The tide has turned, and left the beach.
Pressing onward, pushing hard,
I cannot quit; I must move on.
My ragged feet have timeless trod
A land before, that lies beyond
Behind, sideways, and forward;
Strange and weird, bizarre and odd.
Shimmering meadows glazed in fog...
I see what others cannot hear.
My mindless mind is almost bare;
I stretch beyond Horizon's pier,
Precariously tottering on a log,
On the other side of nowhere...

This image alone is very touching, but with the description it is overwhelming. Well done!

Stunning image!! I have to agree with Sandra, you did a beautiful l job capturing the innocence of these precious angels. I to am a parent to a child with developmental disabilities; Down syndrome and Autism and the poem you included in the description gave me chills. Wonderful job. v/f/p/t

Wow! I really have enjoyed and appreciated this photograph and thank you for using your exceptional artistic photography skills to bring awareness to this disease. My youngest son is in the autism spectrum. I love the poem in the description. Also the expression of the child while looking through the window is really a great metaphor complemented by the soft colors and deep shadows, especially the way the shadows cover the head (brain) extending to his eyes.
